Conversion of Spa Hotel

This project consisted of an existing hotel building located within Portmellon, Mevagissey, an attractive tourist destination. The client wished to convert the hotel into self-contained holiday let units.



The re-use of existing building fabric was stipulated from the offset with a conversion of existing hotel rooms and shared spaces into a mixture of one, two and three bedroom apartment units. In total eighteen units will be provided, including one in the converted roof space and four apartments in a new building that replaces an existing garage. The apartments have been designed to maximise views over Portmellon and the sea with new terrace and balcony areas, as well as private living space, providing superb holiday facilities.

An overall site scheme has also been detailed, including improved pedestrian access routes, new landscaping and parking areas to improve visitor accessibility and provide amenity space.

Status: Planning permission has been received and work has commenced on site.






Tresillian Cowshed

Whilst undertaking major refurbishment works around this Grade II Listed Building estate, the clients brief for this 'L' shaped set of buildings was for full conversion to dwelling of the two storey apple/potato store, with the double height cow shed being converted into a meeting/function room.
