Sam’s, Fowey

The ground floor kitchen and bistro areas were subject to complete renovation and modernisation, whilst retaining the charm of many interior and exterior features of this historic building within its central town location.

At first floor and mezzanine levels, existing accommodation was converted to form further table space, bar and waiting area. Special features of the original building, including beams and an historic internal window were specifically designed for retention in the renovation work.

The second floor was totally redesigned from one large open plan room to form storage and staff rooms.

As the building stands within the heart of the Fowey Conservation Area, numerous discussions took place at every stage of design between ourselves, the clients and the Local Planning Authority to enable the finished building to be totally in keeping within its locality, whilst giving the client additional table covers as required.

Status: Building works complete.
